Bio

I have been making oil paintings and soft pastel drawings of "skyscapes" since 1974.  I use a 'wet in wet' painting technique similar to a watercolorist.  I constantly blend and work one color into another to give a soft, undulating sense of light and atmosphere.  Eliminating the ground plane draws the viewer's attention to the part of nature that we most often take for granted in the chaos of everyday life.  Success is achieved by a sense of motion that ranges from quiet stillness to raging thunder, to feel the clouds drifting across the sky in constant change.
